Though this wasn't my campaign photo...but I wanna look good in my blog. A month ago I was campaigning for the Student Council President post. Speech during orientation, talking to everyone I can & putting up posters wasn't much fun as it was but a very valuable experience to me. Getting to know so many people though I can't remember their names are fun. Most of them supported me & voted for me in the election. I really appreciate those who have supported & voted for me.
Election day was very tensing, after the briefing...I had to conduct the English Crew meeting & learned that only 2 out of 30+ new members turned up. I was deeply frustrated but return to the 1st floor of college to continue on my "last minute campaign". I worked for every vote honestly because talking & convincing people isn't easy when I don't look like Richard Gere(Ms Shyamala favorite actor).
It finally closed at 2p.m. & I finally got to rest and don't have to control my composure...haha...
And then the counting began at 4p.m., and it was super tensing cause I know who my main threat was. Mr Uthaya counted Emily's first who got 28...then Fannie(10), Victor(21) & then it was my turn...I was shaking my head knowing that it wasn't enough...it was up to 20...21...22...23...24...25...26...27...ok that's all for Daniel. I laughed knowing that I lost to a single vote. It was cool actually, not getting the hectic post but being second best by losing to a single vote. By the way, Imran got 14 votes.
(L-R: Fannie, Emily, Daniel[me], Victor, Imran)
I actually prepared a speech in case I win but I guess that day will never come. Well... To ma fellow friends & supporters...thanks a lot for your support, the college needs more students like you all so that we can be the best of ourselves. Congrats Emily...you deserve it, you achieve what I wanted to achieve in a few days when I did it in more than a month.
But the biggest lost was the failure of the English Society meeting where no one turned up.

Cheer up, boy ... err ... man! Wow! Just two days ago I was able to bully you and today you are the SEGi College Subang Jaya Student Council Vice President.
Naa ... if you think that's gonna stop me from bullying you, you are VERY wrong!
Anyway, cheer up. You did a very good job. (The posters looked cute too -- not the person in it, mind you!). Now it's time to work as a team. I sincerely believe that we do have a "team" now.
And I believe ... err ... hope? ... that the students have made the right choice by voting for you. Those pityful 27 students.
