Just came to me...

But you weren't happy the day I watched you go
And all the things that I wished I had not said
Are played on lips 'till it's madness in my head
Is it too late to remind you how we were
But not our last days of silence, screaming, blur
Most of what I remember makes me sure
I should have stopped you from walking out the door
You could be happy, I hope you are
You made me happier than I'd been by far
Somehow everything I own smells of you
And for the tiniest moment it's all not true
Do the things that you always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back, don't think, just do
More than anything I want to see you go
Take a glorious bite out of the whole world
Feature Entry: Mammoth Tank!!!
Saturday, April 28, 2007
The Mammoth Tank is a fictional super-heavy tank in Command & Conquer real-time strategy computer games, with an iconic status among the fan community. It has also become an icon for a super-powerful unit in RTS games.
Every installment in the series had featured a Mammoth tank or its lookalike, ranging from the original Mammoth Tank in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn to the Overlord Tank in Command & Conquer: Generals.
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
The X-66 Mammoth Tank was GDI's versatile heavy assault tank in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and just left prototype testing phase during the game's events.
It is armed with twin 120 mm cannons and the complimentary Mammoth Tusk rocket launchers, used to engage both infantry and aerial targets. The weapon systems were mounted on a heavy four track chassis and protected by extremely heavy armour. The tank was kept in working condition by an engineering crew inside, allowing it to repair to 50% of its strength. However, these advantages came at the expense of mobility, extreme cost (1500 refined Tiberium credits) and build time (80 seconds in GDI's automated war factories).
The tank was perceived as a great threat to the Brotherhood of Nod, and measures were taken by the organization to prevent widespread use of this treaded monster, which included destruction of prototype models in research facilities in Africa.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert
The Mammoth Tank has appeared in Command & Conquer: Red Alert as well, when the Allied medium tank threatened to parallel the Soviet Heavy Tanks. To counter this, Josef Stalin commenced development of a monstrous tank armed with dual 120 mm cannons in the turret, two Mammoth Tusk missile launchers and an exceptionally strong armour, mounted on four separate tracks. The tank was so large, that a whole engineering crew was committed to keeping it operational, allowing it to regenerate its health to 50% when badly damaged.
These advantages came at the expense of mobility - the tank could only move at a slow crawl, and faster, more maneuverable units could outrun its guns. Combined with high cost, Mammoths had to be deployed tactically - otherwise they could have been easily overwhelmed by the enemy. In-game cutscenes show that the turret of the tank is completely isolated from the vehicle's interior, unlike modern tanks.
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
The original X-66 Mammoth Tanks are not constructible by the player in regular Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun game, both single and multiplayer. They are, however, seen under the control of The Forgotten during campaign scenarios, and three units in working condition can be found and placed under the player's control in the last GDI mission taking place in Cairo. Compared to other units in the game, the Mammoth Tank's power diminishes. As a response to the Mammoth losing its power, GDI researched and developed its successor - the Mammoth Mk. II.
The vehicle in question is an enormous quadrupedal walker, over twice the size of the GDI "Titan" Medium Battle Mechanized Walker, making it by far the largest unit in Tiberian Sun. This behemoth, in addition to exceptionally strong armor plating, is armed with several weapon systems:
- Twin enormous, side-mounted railguns similar to the Ghost Stalker's, but several times more powerful (and medium to long range), with the capacity to destroy moderately armored tanks in a single discharge.
- An anti-aircraft missile module mounted on the rear of each railgun.
- Twin auto-cannons underneath the 'head' (Similar to those of the AT-AT, but they are not seen in-game, due to technical limitations).
These weapons proved to be more than adequate for dispatching any vehicle, as during field demonstrations in Great Britain the Mammoth destroyed cars, walkers, aircraft and buildings with tremendous ease, and could easily lay waste to Brotherhood of Nod bases alone.
The prototype did not enter mass production during the course of the game and the player is only allowed to build one Mk. II during skirmishes or multiplayer games. Its high price and inability to get past walls somewhat limited the Mammoth's usability, but it is nevertheless a very powerful albeit slow unit. As with its predecessor, the Mammoth Mk. II was perceived by Kane as a threat to Brotherhood's mission, and he ordered his commanders to destroy the prototype units tested in Britain.
According to Mike Verdu's weblog on Tiberium Wars, the Mammoth Mk. II project was temporarily discontinued in the favour of the Mammoth 27 and the high cost mantaining them, and the last unit was built at the Los Angeles San Pedro war factory, marking the end of the walker Mammoths at 12 March 2039. This move was opposed by conservative GDI commanders, among them Colonel Nicholas "Havoc" Parker, decorated war veteran.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Although the Mammoth Tank does not appear in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, a very similar tank, the Apocalypse Assault Tank, is used by the Soviet Union against Allies. Although slow, the Apocalypse is a fearsome vehicle, featuring:
- Dual 120 mm cannons firing special warhead shells capable of annihilating buildings and tanks in seconds.
- Twin missile launchers firing weapons similar to the 'Mammoth Tusk' missiles employed in the original Mammoth; these are employed in only an anti-aircraft role. Note that the Apocalypse Tank's missiles come in sets of 7 per each side of the tank while the Mammoth has eight per side.
- Is capable of healing back to full health unlike the original Mammoth Tank. Additionally, the Apocalypse is considerably more durable than the Mammoth.
Command & Conquer: Generals
Although the Mammoth Tank itself does not appear in Command and Conquer: Generals, the Chinese 'Overlord' Tank resembles the Mammoth Tank. Like the Mammoth, it uses four separate sets of treads and two large cannons (though these are mounted at the sides of the turret rather than the front), but does not have the 'Mammoth Tusk' missiles common to previous incarnations. It is able to run over all units but other Overlords, and can have weapon upgrades built onto it. The Gattling Cannon upgrade is reminiscent of the Mammoth Tusk missile launchers in that it is used primarily for anti-air and anti-personnel defence. Note: The Overlord and the subsequent Emperor tanks can both overrun small and medium vehicles(Tested with Battlemasters)
Its upgrades are:
- Gattling Cannon — provides anti-aircraft and anti-infantry defense for the tank, as well as acting as an additional weapon against other targets.
- Bunker — up to five infantry may garrison the bunker, and fire out of the gun ports.
- Speaker Tower — repairs the host Overlord when damaged, as well as healing units in the vicinity.
Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour features an improved 'Overlord' called the 'Emperor', which is built with a speaker tower already installed and can be upgraded to mount a Gattling Cannon, but cannot mount a Bunker. It features a lengthened turret to accommodate the Gattling Cannon in addition to the Speaker Tower. However, the Subliminal Messaging upgrade does not apply to the Emperor tank, a possible oversight by the game's developers. The 'Emperor' can only be built by General Kwai, the Chinese tank general.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
The Mammoth Tank makes a comeback in Tiberium Wars in the form of the Mammoth 27 / Mammoth Mk. III, which prior to upgrades tended to closely resemble the Tiberian Dawn Mammoth tank. Production started in 2039 in Reykjavík shortly after the Mammoth Mk. II was retired from service.
The tank has been designed with long-range operations in harsh environments in mind. Its design is a return to the basic, four-track system with thick, hexagonal armor to match enemy tanks head-on and defeat them in open combat. The turret's primary armament is a pair of 150mm cannons (upgradeable to railguns), supported by 4 3/4-inch missile pods that give it supplementary and anti-air firepower. Note: The new Mammoth tanks can overrun small and medium vehicles(Tested with Nod buggy and recon bikes)

The day started off with waking up from a very intense dream....make me wake up feeling more tired....gosh....Since parents were busy downstairs, I played Command & Conquer 3 for a while....at the same time discussing the plans with Kayal. From this time...which was around 10 plus till 1p.m., it was a headache on how to get to the stadium....gosh.....so heavy for a first timer like me.....at last...Kayal and I decided to take the train there. Sadly Steph and her sister bailed out on a no reason statement yet.haha.....sad me...screwed up English.
Got on the KTM and switched train at Bank Negara before taking STAR Lrt to Bukit Jalil. My gal was obsessed with her chicken rite and chili until we got on the wrong train*actually it's kind of our first time taking it, so we're considered noob....or maybe just me....cause I'm supposed to make sure everything goes smooth...stupid me...='(* We landed up far from where we supposed to be...took us awhile before we noticed we're on the wrong train...swt...sadness!!! We got off Pandan Indah, backtrack to some Chinese named station then take the right train to Bukit Jalil...my mistake cost us to reach at 4.20 I guess....but the crowd there was just ok...not many people.
Well, of course all fans were split according to the tickets they have....and I got VIP...woohoo!!!...actually so did some other 1500 people...keke...ain't that great after all huh. What else to do when we're there? Sit and wait till gate open at 6 lor......gosh...long wait..so I decided to get a kebab and coke at the stalls which open..guess what...RM 3 for a coke bottle of 500ml and RM 3 for a kebab...='(
Wait a minute...have I mentioned this is my first concert??? and what concert am I going to?
It's Good Charlotte by the way... So ya..reached around 4plus...coolz coolz....chicken rice became an issue again when I finished it half an hour before gate opened....sorry ya baby...keke.....*it doesn't stop here...by the way...just to say..its all me being "wrong" ya....* at 6...finally Ken Joe and Izzuan came...if I'm not there early...I wonder where you guys will be??? So ya...gave them the tickets but had 3 normal tickets extra...what a waste huh....
Finally I get to pass the gate to get into my first concert, had to dispose whatever we didn't really need...then this gal came asking me whether I'm a Fu-yoh user or not.....and she checked my phone for confirmation...the great surprise was I got 2 extra T-shirt....and...and.....Meet & Greet Good Charlotte!!!....awwww...then few steps in, saw my old friend's dad...he was on duty under media I guess.
*chicken rice issue*
*wait*
*waiting*
*bored till start eating chips.....well prepared concert chiq*
*together times!!!*
*VIP*
*not 1 but 4!!!*
Run...Run to get your spots.....I can say...ALL EARLY COMERS WHO ARE VIP WERE STUPID...haha...they missed their entrance....even my friends, my gal...and me....the sad blur bloke who has been to a concert for the first time. By the way, I was at the information counter.....for the meet & greet thingy of course.....I felt bad...cause I don't deserve it at all...since I'm not all crazy over them...and the serious naked truth was that I was willing to give it up for my gal....SERIOUS K!!!...=D
*special pass for Meet & Greet*
but she told me to go.....Main Rule, can only autograph 1 item....so I took the extra T-shirt got....but then I thought...I wanna wear that shirt....so I called Kayal and gave it back to her....Where was I gonna get them to sign on???? err.....this can be called stupidity...or....nice....or sweet....or....just dumb la.....but it was Kayal's sister's birthday on that day...feeling sick and couldn't go out...and I'm still procrastinating on what to write in her card.....so..the idea came up...I'll get them to sign on the card.... =D *so watcha think people????stupidly sweet??*
*the card that was signed*
*stage*
There was a hold up then....gotta wait for so long before I get to meet them, so I got a burger and drink with my baby. Yet again....same mistake repeated...she said I ate like a machine.....haha...so much confusion and miscommunication there...sorry ya baby...again...=/
Finally I got to go in....making us lose our nice spot...='(....I still feel very bad though coz we lost it because of me. Heart wasn't much easy as I was waiting to get my card signed....thought about you lots.....
When I got in....man..all I was checking out was their tattoo....keke....and I told almost every member that my friend can't make it and it's her birthday...then one of them said I'm such a nice friend......*blushes* haha...superstars saying I'm a nice friend. Then we got a group photo with other 9 people....which is to be sent by DiGi soon...Right after that, I rushed out....to you as fast as I could...running like a spastic penguin....just to get to you....*bad feeling still haunts*
*ROCK!!!*
*nice performance from Billy*
It was like about 9 I guess before the event really started with One Buck Short first on stage.....lets just leave the part all the Vj's were on stage. Our spot were considered save according to baby K but I know it's not at all....scroll down to find out why...keke....to keep things short...I stoned the whole way throughout the concert...keke....only a few eclipse of me jumping, screaming or singing....after One Buck Short, then there was Estranged then Jason Lo...I enjoyed Estranged and Jason Lo lots.....One Buck Short was just...errr......riiiiiiite.
Finally after so long...Good Charlotte finally came up...and believe me....I did yawn during their performance...not to say that it was bad...it was just me...not feeling it someway somehow....I really enjoyed their songs and music though =D I was looking at Billy the most....love the way he performed up there...song after song.....more and more retard rempits junkie just showed up from nowhere and just started jumping like idiots....*human these days...*
*looking good on stage!!!*
*boys and girls!!!*
At the end of it.....it was great....getting to spend time with baby K...keke...I had a great time...nice experience.....but my lucky unknown friends were even more lucky....got to touch the lead singer, get their towel and get the T-shirt....in return....a really safe passage home for me...and most importantly my baby K. But to be on a fair side... I was sent home first because it'll be easy for my friends because they're coming back to Subang....Thought I got home safe...Heart wasn't easy until baby K reached home....we then spend a little time talking before going to bed.....~endz~

Over the Decade!!!
Friday, April 13, 2007
There's a little intro to the game I've grown up with since I was 8 years old...10 years later....Command & Conquer 3 has provided one of the best game play among many RTS games. When I was young...I thought the tiberuim (resource) were some kind of vegetation...can't blame me though...I was young and the graphics those days ain't that good*and of course I didn't really play missions*.
In Command & Counquer 3: Tiberium Wars, game play has stepped up alot....though it looks a little like StarCraft, but heck...StarCraft stands no where near it. Anyways...the "vegetation" I'm talking about actually are crystals...which grows out of the ground...sounds familiar??? it's like Kryptonite since it has the same colour. Two's a company and three's a crowd...guess the share of tiberium has to be share among 3 factions now as the new Scrin alien faction has landed on earth...I ain't so much of a campaign fan so I just settle on skirmish...Though I played a little of The NOD mission...as I said earlier...game play is mouth watering!
To be honest...it's my first day playing today....and I hardly master it yet to play against Brutal army....The AI is just way to smart nowadays.
Mammoth Tank...over the decade
Lots about this guy....Head of Brotherhood of NOD....
Grace Park!!!!!! She don't look sweet here but in the game...aww...................well American-Canadian and Korean...beat that to get this sweet gal....keke.....*melts*
Finally, I just wanna comment on the new faction Scrin...one or two units kinda copied StarCraft....which was a unoriginal thing to do.....but overall....good job!!!I'll update more on this soon =D
It's wrong.....says J

Harsh it may sound to some friends who knows who I'm talking about....but I don't care, I couldn't care less about these Moronians. Moreover, it's a problem when I diss people but someway somehow...it doesn't imply to the person who said it to me....how Ironic??? End of the day, we're Malaysians, don't ever speak about changing to be a better nation because Malaysia gets us no where....not forward, not backwards.
What you say is all easy....but no one...no one found the right words to mend this ill heart. But the least suspected came.....my old soccer buddy, who I only know much about him during soccer times...he said the right words that took it all away. It was like God was speaking through him, I smiled again...only his words cheered me up....some were..rather....painful...but anyways, thanks to those whom I reach out to...you all are my true friends.
Where is the freedom? the freedom to be out, the freedom to talk, the freedom to express, the freedom to critique, the freedom to criticize??? when all things said or done is wrong...?*refrain self from going further*
go on and hate me....
"when one door closes...another opens"
so you think I care if I lose you?
I don't care if the world is small like what my dad said...but no I'm not gonna befriend Bastards like you and act all nice because I ain't a hypocrite*at some point...haha*
Don't act all angel
Don't think I don't know you stepped on me....
I handled it....
but you watch your steps...as where and when you gonna take your next step...

-random day out
Other things seems complicated but I still keep a steady head...having my monthly Starbucks supply and random outings to places. It was 2months the MARCH I just went through...So much...just too much....
Anyways, finally I stayed home for 2days and relive the many activities I've not been doing in the past months I guess...like getting out to get my own lunch on my bicycle or cooking Indomee for myself...and I made it out for soccer to see my teen high school friends *neighbors I mean*. I also did caught and old friend and catch up with him....FINALLY someone really knows what to say in certain issues...Thank God!!! I thought a friend like that will never come around....Damn he had a side that I haven't seen....Those days he was only my soccer one-two partner....including soccer freestyle times...keke
-cycling during 12 noon
Life in college? couldn't have been.......dot dot dot...*not calling Dorothy*
